Why solar street lighting
Light from the sun, with no trenching, cabling or grid connection.
Automatic dusk-to-dawn lighting. The model shown may differ.
No grid connection
Each light runs on its own solar panel and battery, with no trenching or cabling to a power supply.
All-in-one unit
Panel, battery, LED and controller come in a single unit, which keeps installation simple.
Lithium battery, MPPT charging
A LiFePO4 battery stores the day's energy, charged by an MPPT controller that tracks the panel's best operating point.
Dusk to dawn, automatically
The light switches on at dusk and off at dawn by itself; no timers or switches to manage.
Brightens when needed
A motion sensor raises the light level when someone approaches and dims it when the area is empty, conserving battery charge.
Built for outdoors
Die-cast aluminium body rated IP65 against dust and water, recommended for 5 m poles.
How it works
- 1
Charge
By day the solar panel charges the battery through the MPPT controller.
- 2
Store
The LiFePO4 battery holds the energy until dusk.
- 3
Light
At dusk the controller switches the LED on automatically.
- 4
Adapt
The motion sensor brightens the light for activity and dims it when the area is empty.

Planning your installation
Four things that decide how well a solar street light performs.
General practice for solar outdoor lighting. An engineer confirms the final layout on site.
Pole spacing
As a rule of thumb, poles are spaced three to four times the mounting height: about 15–20 m apart on the recommended 5 m pole.
Sun on the panel
In India the panel should face south with an open sky. Shade from trees or buildings during the day reduces charging.
Keep other lights away
Avoid mounting near other street lamps, signs or floodlights; stray light at the dusk sensor can stop the light switching on.
Match wattage to the space
Pathways and gardens need less light than internal roads. Our engineers choose the wattage for your road width and layout.
How we deliver
From site survey to service, one team.
- 1
Site survey
We review road or path widths, sun exposure, shading and existing poles.
- 2
Layout and proposal
An engineer recommends the wattage, pole positions and spacing, with a written proposal.
- 3
Installation
The Rudhra team installs and commissions every light. Poles can be supplied on request.
- 4
Service
Annual maintenance contracts (AMC) keep panels clean and systems checked, backed by the 3-year warranty.

FAQ
Common questions
Do I need a grid connection or cabling?
No. Each light is self-contained, with its own solar panel and battery, so there is no cabling to a power supply.
Which wattage do I need?
It depends on mounting height, road or path width and pole spacing. Our engineers recommend the wattage and layout after a site survey.
Are poles included?
Poles are not part of the standard product. We can supply them on request.
Does it keep working during power cuts?
Yes. The light runs from its own battery and is not connected to the grid, so power cuts do not affect it.
Why a LiFePO4 battery rather than lead-acid?
LiFePO4 is a thermally stable lithium chemistry that needs no topping up and does not vent gases. It also returns more of the stored energy: typically 95–98% round-trip efficiency, against about 80% for lead-acid.
What happens on cloudy days?
The battery carries the light through the night, and motion-sensor dimming conserves charge. We size the system for your site's conditions.
What maintenance does it need?
Keep the solar panel clean and follow the periodic checks in the manual. Our team installs every light, and annual maintenance contracts (AMC) are available.
